Built for the room

The pub-game feeling, without leaving home

THROWCADE is being built for the moments when traditional darts feels too serious, too slow or too hard to explain. It keeps the real board and adds colourful games that are easy to start and fun to share.

Questions, answered

Before your first throw

What is THROWCADE?

THROWCADE is a darts game app in development. It adds arcade-style objectives, turn prompts and shared-screen game flow to play on a real dartboard.

How is THROWCADE different from a darts scoring app?

A traditional scoring app mainly records familiar darts formats. THROWCADE is being designed around original social, co-operative, strategy and adventure games that use the dartboard as the controller.

Which games are planned for launch?

The line-up includes Quack Attack, Triple Impact, Hot Potato, Turf War, Safecracker, Castle Siege, Ghost Hunt, Last Dart Standing, Around the Clock, Hare and Hound, Killer, Bull Rush, Treasure Hunt, Meteor Mayhem and The Forge. Features may still change during development.

What is The Forge?

The Forge is a planned darts-based role-playing game with bosses, daily challenges and an XP levelling system. More details will be shared as development progresses.

What equipment will I need?

The current plan is a standard dartboard, darts and a compatible phone or tablet. Exact device and board requirements will be confirmed before launch.

Will it work with a normal dartboard?

That is the plan. THROWCADE is being designed for play on a real standard dartboard rather than requiring a dedicated electronic board. Final compatibility details will be confirmed before release.

Does THROWCADE score darts automatically?

Automatic camera scoring is not part of the first planned release. Players will enter throws manually while the app handles objectives, turns, lives, game flow and results.

How many people can play?

The planned range is 2–8 local players, with a mix of competitive, team and co-operative games. Exact limits may vary by game and remain subject to final confirmation.

Can teams play together?

Yes. The planned lineup includes team and co-operative ideas such as Castle Siege and Meteor Mayhem, alongside individual races and elimination games.

Is THROWCADE suitable for children and families?

THROWCADE is intended for family play, but darts can have sharp points. Children must be supervised by a responsible adult and should use age-appropriate equipment in a clear, safe playing area.

Will THROWCADE be available on iPhone and Android?

You can try the beta in your web browser on desktop, tablet or mobile. A downloadable app is in development; app-store release details will follow.

Will I need an internet connection?

Offline and connectivity requirements have not been confirmed. The final requirements will be published before launch.

When will THROWCADE launch?

The browser beta is available to try now. More games will open up over the coming weeks; see our beta page for how to get started.

How much will THROWCADE cost?

Play offers a free account tier. Every currently available game and feature is included for now. Optional Premium subscriptions are planned for a later release.

Will I need an account?

A verified account is required to play on Play. The browser demo remains available without an account.
